Mobile Police Investigates a Traffic Fatality on University Boulevard

On August 4, 2010 at 1:30 a.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a traffic accident at University Boulevard and Bear Fork Road. Upon their arrival, Police found a 2003 Honda Accord had struck a tree and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Mobile Fire Department responded and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as 50 year old Carl Anthony Sanders. Mr. Sanders was driving south on University Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The investigation revealed he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
