Mobile Police Investigating Shooting Death in the 2100 block of Agate Avenue

On Saturday, January 09, 2015, at approximately 6:30 p.m. officers responded to the 2100 block of Agate Avenue for a report of One Shot. Officers located the victim, 16 year old Jermaine Wright, inside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Wright dead on the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed Wright's 15 year old girlfriend while playing with a handgun accidentally shot him causing his death. The suspect was charged with Manslaughter and transported to Strickland Youth Center.
