Mobile Police Major Graduates from FBI National Academy

On March 20, 2015, Major Kara Rose of the Mobile Police Department graduated with over two hundred other law enforcement officers from the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Va. The 259th Session of the National Academy consisted of men and women from 49 states. Included in the class were members of law enforcement agencies from the District of Columbia, 24 countries, six military organizations and five federal civilian organizations.

Rose is in her 26th year of duty with the Mobile Police Department.

Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced investigative, management and fitness training for select officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. On average, these officers have 19 years of law enforcement experience.

A total of over 48,000 graduates now represent the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935. Of this, approximately 16,680 are still active in law enforcement.
