Mobile Police Make Arrest in Back-to-Back Robberies

On August 28, 2014, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of an individual robbery at the 200 block of Charles Street. The victim advised he was returning home from the store and had just exited his vehicle when the suspect approached him, produced a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot east on Charleston Street.

While responding to Charles Street, police were advised of an additional robbery at the intersection of Charleston and Marine Streets. The same suspect approached two victims, produced a gun and demanded money. The victims each complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Investigation revealed 20 year-old Justin Phillips was responsible for these robberies. Phillips was located, arrested and charged with three counts of Robbery First Degree in relation to these cases.
