Mobile Police Make Arrest in Homicide at Pointer and Setter Roads

On May 11, 2014, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Mobile Police responded to the intersection of Pointer and Setter Roads for a report of one shot in a vehicle. Upon arrival, police discovered 20 year-old Zachary Scott Alston with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

Investigation revealed 21 year-old Arlando Nichols intentionally shot and killed Alston. Nichols was tracked to the Atlanta area where the U.S. Marshals were able to take him into custody without further incident.
