Mobile Police Make Arrest in Mimosa Drive Homicide

On October 12, 2012, at 11:43 p.m., Mobile Police began an investigation in the 2100 block of Mimosa Drive when two victims were sitting on the front porch and three unknown males approached the victims to commit a robbery. One of the victims was shot in the chest during the incident.

On December 10, 2012, Mobile Police were notified that the victim, 24 year-old Ray Nicholson, died from complications associated with the gunshot wound.

The investigation revealed that 18 year-old Darius Javonte Clark and 20 year-old Justin Isiah Duckworth were involved in the homicide. On December 14, 2012, Clark and Duckworth were located, arrested and charged with Murder. Clark is also charged with Robbery First Degree.
