Mobile Police Make Arrest in ‘Spice’ Furnishing to Minor Case

On April 23, 2014, Mobile Police and Mobile Fire Rescue were dispatched to a call involving a 15 year-old juvenile female suffering from severe effects of an overdose after smoking Marijuana Analog, also known as ‘Spice" with a known adult male. The victim was transported to a local hospital. The male was not on scene.

On April 25, 2014, after a two-day investigation into this case that stemmed from Baker High School, 18 year-old Malcolm Jerome Nichols was arrested and charged with Sale, Furnishing, etc., of Controlled Substances by Persons Over Age 18 to Persons Under Age 18, which is a Class A Felony. The investigation revealed Nichols provided the drug to the juvenile and then left the location when she became severely ill from its effects.
