Mobile Police Make Arrest on Bank, Commercial Robberies

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, Mobile Police arrested 36 year-old Jeremy Lee Weekley on one count of Robbery Third Degree and two counts of Robbery First Degree in relation to a recent commercial robbery and two bank robberies, all in the Mobile area.

On Sunday July 8, 2012, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a white male suspect entered the Super Stop at 5590 Old Pascagoula Road, stated he was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect left the store with cash from the register and was seen leaving the area in gold Ford Taurus.

On Monday, July 9, 2012, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a white male entered Bank Trust at 7790 Cottage Hill Road, approached the teller window and demanded money before exiting the bank. The suspect was last seen getting into a light-colored, four-door sedan.

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at approximately 9:00 a.m., a white male entered the Hancock Bank at 5215 Rangeline Road, approached the teller window and demanded money before exiting the bank and leaving the location in a tan mid-size vehicle.

Weekley was apprehended at Highway 90 and Broadview Drive and taken into custody without incident.
