Mobile Police Make Arrest on Community Bank Robbery

On Monday August 11, 2014, at approximately 9:15 a.m., an unknown suspect wearing a mask and armed with a gun, entered Community Bank at 6241 Cottage Hill Road, approached a teller and demanded currency. The teller complied and the suspect fled the scene in a red Toyota Tacoma.

Officers were able to locate the suspect, 70 year-old David Corley, on Hillcrest Road near Girby Road and take him into custody without incident. Corley was transferred to a local hospital for observation. Upon his release, he will be charged with Robbery First Degree in relation to this case.
