Mobile Police Make Arrest on Horton Drive Double Homicide

On June 11, 2011, Mobile Police Homicide Detectives arrested 19 year-old Jakarrey Chambers for two charges of Murder in relation to the double homicide of an adult couple that occurred on Saturday, January 31, 2011 on Horton Drive in Mobile. The male victim, Roy Ezell, was pronounced dead on the scene and his wife, Shirley Ezell, later succumbed to injuries sustained in the assault.

During the investigation process, detectives were able to develop Chambers as a suspect. On June 11, 2011, Chambers was detained, brought to Police Headquarters, where he was arrested for these murders.
