Mobile Police Make Arrest on Rape, Kidnapping and Robbery Case

On June 11, 2011, Mobile Police Detectives arrested Shelby Myron Robinson for ten felony charges in relation to the sexual assault of two adult females that occurred on Sunday, June 5, 2011 around 3:00 a.m. in the downtown Dauphin Street area. The females were also robbed of their personal belongings during the assault.
Detectives initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be the suspect's on Bear Fork Road at Highway 45. The suspect was detained, questioned by detectives and arrested for the following charges:
One count Robbery 1st
One count Rape 1st
Two counts Kidnapping 2nd
Two counts Sodomy 1st
Four counts Illegal Use of a Debit Card
Detectives continue to investigate a second suspect who was involved in the robbery of the victims.
