Mobile Police Mourn the Loss of Officer Steven Green

Mobile Police Department mourns the loss of Officer Steven Green, 36 years-old, who was fatally wounded on February 3, 2012 while transporting a robbery suspect, 24 year-old Lawrence Wallace, Jr., to Mobile Metro Jail facility. Officer Green has been a Mobile Police officer since May 2010.

Chief Williams said "It is a sad day for the Mobile Police Force and for law enforcement. Our sympathy certainly goes to Officer Green's wife and family."

Officer Green served the Department in the First Precinct and was currently on assignment in the Fifth Precinct. Officer Green was married with three children.
