Mobile Police Would Like to Thank the Citizens of Mobile

Chief Micheal T. Williams would like to thank everyone that participated in the funeral for Officer Steven Green. The selfless, immediate response and level of respect shown to Officer Green and his family was evident by the more than 700 cars and thousands of citizens lining the path of the procession.

Numerous organization, individuals and businesses have extended generous offerings, both financial and acts of compassion. An estimated $21,650 in services was donated as well as priceless contributions were given all without any expectation of repay or recognition.

Chief Williams has stated "the overwhelming response is a real testament to the strength of our profession and the citizens of Mobile."
