MOTORCYCLIST SHOT

On October 29, 2008, at approximately 1720 hours, patrol units responded to the area of Wilkinson Street and Pillans Street in reference to shots fired. Once officers arrived they observed a motorcycle in the intersection and a black male that appeared to have injuries to the face. Officers spoke with the victim and he advised police that he had not been shot but had an accident on his motorcycle. The victim was treated on the scene by Mobile Fire Department and transported to USAMC. It was later determined by medical staff that the victim had indeed been shot once in the face.

This case is still under investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
