The FBI National Academy at Quantico, Virginia recently graduated 256 law enforcement officers and one of those graduates included the chief of staff for the Mobile Police Department. Chief Clay Godwin trained in the 276th Session of the National Academy for 10 weeks. Godwin received training in leadership, advanced communications and fitness.
"Attending this executive training program was an opportunity of a lifetime," Godwin said. "I have brought what I learned back to Mobile and will put it to work for the city we all love and call home."
Several other Mobile police ranked officers have graduated from the academy. Godwin completed the training on June 7, 2019. Along with 52,026 others, he now represents the alumni of the FBI National Academy.
