The Mobile Police Department recognizes Denise Griffin as Civilian Employee of the Month for July for her excellent work performance. Griffin works in the Narcotics and Vice Unit as an office assistant. Considered one of the busiest units in the department, Griffin is constantly processing paperwork and subpoenas. When the unit transitioned to a paperless reporting system, she learned the new system while remaining productive. Griffin processes all alcoholic beverage applications made in the city of Mobile, which includes conducting background checks on owners, partners or corporate officers of the business. Although the process is lengthy, she always has this task completed and prepared for City Council vote. According to her supervisor, Griffin displays a positive attitude daily and is enthusiastic about her work.
