On Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at approximately 8:40 p.m., police responded to the Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 2570 Government Boulevard in reference to the report of shots fired and two individuals shot.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult males who had both been shot. The two individuals had gotten into an altercation that turned violent when they both pulled guns and fired, striking each other.
They were transported to the hospital. Both died as a result of their injuries.
No customers or any store employees were injured during the shooting.
The individuals involved have been identified as 21-year-old Jaquess Thompson and 44-year-old Seantatis Kirksey.
