Murray Hill Court Assault Upgraded to Murder

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at approximately midnight, the male victim was engaged in a verbal dispute with 44 year-old Michael Antonio Russell, when Russell shot the victim in the abdomen.

Russell was located later on this date at a motel at West I-65 Service Road South. Russell was taken into custody and charged with Attempted Murder in this case.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2014, 56 year-old Kenneth Ray Bell died as a result of a severe blood loss caused by the gunshot wound. The charge against Michael Russell has been amended from Attempt Murder to Murder.
