The Mobile Police Department reports that 2023 saw the largest decrease in crime for a single year than any other single year since 1988. The Mobile Police Department has embraced current and sustainable initiatives aimed at reducing crime and enhancing community engagement.
Chief Prine of the Mobile Police Department states, "The significant achievements in reducing crime and enhancing community trust are the result of our officers' hard work, dedication, and the strong partnership we have built with the people of Mobile. Our vision for the future is clear - to continue these efforts and maintain our commitment to safety, respect, and engagement across our community."
