30 Grams of Heroin Recovered in Takedown

Mar 16th, 2016

The Mobile Police Department Narcotics/Vice Unit recovered 30.2 grams of heroin during a recent takedown on Interstate 65 Service Road. The heroin is valued at approximately $9,000.

One handgun was seized as well as a vehicle and $2,300 U.S. currency, which police believe are either proceeds of or were items actually used in the illegal drug activity.

Investigators arrested Keith Hill, 28, and William Barker, 28, in the takedown. Both were charged with Trafficking Heroin and No Pistol Permit.

Because heroin is the most fast-acting deadly drug of all opiates, the Mobile Police Department asks the public to report any tips on such illegal drug activity by calling 251-208-7211 or Crime Stoppers at 251-208-7000. Callers can remain anonymous.
