On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at approximately 6:28 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Colgin Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim was already transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle with life-threatening injuries. A short time later, the victim, now identified as Cedric Redd, 23, died at the hospital from a gunshot injury.
The subject, Dequan Thomas, 24, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
