The Mobile Police Department has named Evon Etheridge as Civilian of the Month for February 2024. Etheridge is a payroll specialist for the Mobile Police Department. She is a knowledgeable individual with an unwavering commitment to her position.
During the month, Etheridge obtained paperwork requested by the Homicide Unit that ultimately led to the indictment of Marco Perez for the murder of Officer Sean Tuder. She obtained this paperwork within a few hours after it was requested, showing her knowledge and exceptional organizational skills. The paperwork led to Perez being charged with capital murder and receiving the death penalty for the crime of killing an on-duty officer.
Etheridge has proven her dedication to the Mobile Police Department and is commended for going above and beyond the call of duty.
