FEMALE ARRESTED FOR FILING FALSE ROBBERY REPORT

On Tuesday, January 6, 2008, at approximately 3:40 P.M., 39 year old black female Lisa Washington reported to authorities that she was robbed while exiting her vehicle at Mobile Gas Company located at 2828 Dauphin Street.

Washington told authorities that as she exited her vehicle, an unknown male subject approached her from behind armed with an indescribable object and demanded her money. Washington continued that she complied with the subject's demands and gave him money from inside of her wallet. Washington stated that the subject fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

On Friday, January 9, 2009, at approximately 11:00 A.M. investigators with the Mobile Police Department Robbery Unit discovered that Washington had falsely reported the robbery report because she had negligently spent money that was supposed to have been set aside for bills.

Washington was subsequently arrested and booked into Mobile County Metro Jail for False Reporting to Law Enforcement Authorities.
