FEMALE ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING

On February 09, 2009, at approximately 12:00 P.M. A Fifth Precinct patrol units were patrolling the area when they noticed a vehicle and the occupants acting suspicious. Once the patrol unit got closer to the vehicle the driver exited the vehicle. A short foot chase began, the officer lost sight of the unknown male.

Later, the victim 26 years old female told police that she and Adams knew each other and on February 09, 2009, Adams accused her of stealing an undetermined amount of money. Adams saw the victim at 3rd Street. The victim said that she was approached by Adams and three unknown males. Adams told the victim to get in the car and Adams questioned her about the whereabouts of the money.

The victim advised police that they drove around the 3rd Street area when one of the unknown black males began to physically assault her, tied her hands and then put her in the trunk.

Kathea Geneva Adams was arrested for Kidnapping Second Degree. The investigation is still ongoing.
