FURNISHING ALCOHOL TO MINORS

On December 11, 2008, the Mobile Police Department continued its fight against underage drinking by conducting another Underage Drinking Compliance Check. This is the second check for the month of December. Eight businesses were checked, seven businesses were in compliance with the law and one business was not in compliance.

The businesses in compliance: were:

Bruno's # 310, 306 University Boulevard

University Chevron, 702 University Boulevard

Circle K # 5997, 1395 University Boulevard

CVS # 7671, 6300 Grelot Road

Winn Dixie #590, 6300 Grelot Road

Rainbow Spirits and Beverages, 1222 Hillcrest Road

Bruno's # 327, 2370 Hillcrest Road

The business not in Compliance:

Circle K #4275, 1401 Knollwood Drive.

The employee at Circle K did not check the buyer's identification. A warrant was signed for Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor. These Compliance checks will continue as the Department strives for all businesses to comply with the law.
