On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at approximately 11:37 p.m., police officers responded to the 7400 block of Cottage Hill Road in reference to multiple individuals shot. Upon arrival, officers located two 19-year-old male victims near the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
While on the scene, officers discovered a 19-year-old male victim inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by Mobile Fire Rescue. The other two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim's name will be released upon notification of next of kin.

The victim has been identified as Keith Fredricks.

During the investigation, detectives identified the following individuals as being involved in the homicide that occurred on the 7400 block of Cottage Hill Road: Kenyadrick Drake, 21; Isaac Parker, 20; Antiono Sykes, 20; and Terrell Smith-Dickerson, 23. They have been arrested and charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and shooting into an occupied vehicle. This remains an active investigation.
**Update**
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Brandon Ely, 20, as the suspect involved. He will be charged with murder, attempted murder (X2), and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
