On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at approximately 8:49 p.m. police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Olive Court in reference to one shot. The 24-year-old male victim was located and pronounced deceased on the scene.
Lederrick Collier, 23, showed up at Springhill Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Collier stated someone tried to rob him in the area of Olive Court and he shot the suspect.
The case was discussed with the DA’s Office and the decision was made not to charge Collier at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Collier had warrants for no pistol permit, resisting arrest, giving a false name and domestic violence third degree. He was arrested on his warrants.
