Homicide on Abrams Street (Update)

On December 30, 2010 at approximately 12:50 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Abrams Street and Carline Street. Upon the officers' arrival, they found 24 year old Michael Watkins deceased, a 24 year old man with non life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and 25 year old Darius Longmire in the trunk of the vehicle without injuries.

Homicide detectives began the investigation and have been able to determine that a 15 year old male and 19 year old David Tremine Jones is responsible for the robbery and kidnapping of the three victims as well as the death of Michael Watkins.

The 15 year old male turned himself into Mobile Police Headquarters at approximately 2:30 p.m. and active warrants for David Tremine Jones were signed today for his arrest.

On January 4, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Mobile Police intelligence Unit arrested David Jones in the 100 block of North Sage Street.
