On Friday, December 1, 2023, at approximately 7:49 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of South Ann Street in response to a traffic accident with severe injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 21-year-old male who had been ejected from the vehicle, and inside the vehicle was Tamichael Brown, a 20-year-old passenger with a gunshot wound, pronounced deceased at the scene.
The injured male was transported to the hospital for severe injuries. Preliminary findings indicate that Tamichael Brown was shot during a verbal altercation with Keeman Tover, 21.
Today, December 21, 2023, Keeman Tover, the driver of the vehicle, has been released from the hospital and is now booked into Metro Jail on a charge of murder. He has been in custody since the time of the incident.
