LOCAL ATHLETIC COACH ARRESTED FOR TRAFFICKING COCAINE

April 16, 2009 at 12:30 pm, The Mobile Police Department Intelligence Unit in a joint investigation with the FBI Violent Crime Taskforce, arrested Marlon Rayford Wade II for Trafficking Cocaine and No Pistol Permit. Mr. Wade was arrested in possession of more than a Kilogram of cocaine, with an estimated street value of over $24,000 Dollars.
Officers also intend to file additional Federal Firearm charges, due to Wade being in possession of a gun during the commission of this crime.
Marlon Wade has a history of twenty-two previous arrest, ranging from other Drug offenses, Assault, Theft of Property, and Disorderly Conduct.
Mr. Wade is currently a coach for the City of Saraland Parks and Recreation Department where he coaches youth football, and baseball.
Wade was transported to Metro Jail and will be held without bond pending a preliminary hearing.
