The Mobile Police Department once again warns citizens to lock their vehicles to stop thieves from stealing guns. From 2014 to 2017, a total of 126 vehicle burglaries have occurred during the first week of Mardi Gras throughout the city. Every vehicle was found unlocked, except one. These stolen guns are being used to commit crimes, some violent and some deadly.
Citizens are urged to lock their vehicles and secure their weapons to help prevent crime and save lives.
