MAN ARRESTED FOR RAPE AND BURGLARY

On October 23, 2008, at approximately 6am, Mobile Police Officers responded to the 1400 block of Plaza Ct. after a female caller advised that someone was entering her home through a window armed with a handgun. When officers arrived the suspect fled on foot, but was captured shortly afterwards. The suspect was identified as Ontario Lawyer (18).

Evidence also connected Lawyer to a sexual assault that occurred on October 18th on the 1300 block of Duval St. where a juvenile female was assaulted. Lawyer forced his way into that residence before assaulting the victim.

Lawyer is being charged with one count of Rape 1st and Burglary 1st for the incident that occurred on Duval St. and he's being charged with Burglary 1st and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd for the incident that occurred this morning. The gun that he had in his possession was reported stolen out of Mobile County.
