MCSENT Arrests Man Involved in Importing Illegal Prescription Narcotics

The man involved in importing illegal prescription narcotics from Houston into Mobile to be sold on the street has been arrested.

The Mobile County Street Enforcement Narcotics Team conducted an undercover sting operation on June 27, 2016 to interdict a shipment of the prescription narcotics into Mobile. During the operation, 38-year-old Jamelle Thomas was apprehended after a brief foot chase and struggle.

Thomas was in possession of 3,850 Hydrocodone (10mg) tablets that included Lortab, Vicoden and Norco brands.

The final street value of the seized narcotics is nearly $40,000. Thomas was arrested for Trafficking in Illegal Drugs and Resisting Arrest.
