In an awe-inspiring performance to honor the children who have beaten cancer, Mobile PD SWAT officers dress up as superheroes and rappel down the side of the building at USA Children's & Women's Hospital. This event called "Operation Superhero" is set for Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 4 p.m.
Since 2015, Operation Superhero has been held to celebrate the end of cancer treatment for pediatric patients and mark the beginning of their journey toward recovery. Mobile PD SWAT rappel to recognize the real heroes – the children – in September, childhood cancer awareness month.
