Mobile Police Announce August Officer of the Month

The Mobile Police Department would like to extend an open invitation to the media for the monthly Officer of the Month Luncheon to be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 3051 Pleasant Valley Road. The Officer of the Month program is presented by the Optimist Club of Mobile.

Officer Aaron Tucker, who has served as a Mobile police officer since 2011, currently serves in the First Precinct and will be awarded the honor for his exceptional performance during the month of August.

The following are examples of the incidents that earned Officer Tucker the distinction of Officer of the Month:

During the month of August, Officer Tucker was involved in several foot pursuits with wanted subjects. He was able to apprehend each subject after they fled and made arrests on them.

Also during the month of August, Officer Tucker's keen observation netted arrests of several subject with outstanding warrants in Mobile County as well as Fairhope. One individual had 13 outstanding warrants at the time Officer Tucker arrested him.

During the month of August, Officer Tucker amassed seven felony and 41 misdemeanor arrests and issued 31 citations. He responded to 97 calls for service and backed 18 calls. Officer Tucker's dedication to duty and attention to detail has brought credit upon himself and the Mobile Police Department.
