Mobile Police Arrest a Homicide Suspect

On November 26, 2011 at 8:50 p.m. Mobile Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 1100 block of Adams Street. Upon arrival, officers found 44 year-old Mark Ash with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and transported Ash to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he later died.

On December 16, 2011, Mobile Police arrested 18 year old Javier Dixon for the robbery and murder of Mark Ash, and have signed warrants for the arrest of Deantonio Temichael Gibson for Robbery and Murder.

Upon further investigation, detectives have determined that Javier Dixon is responsible for the November 24th robbery at the Parade Gas Station located 1451 Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Investigators determined that Dixon is responsible for an August 31st robbery, burglary, and assault in a home invasion on North Ann Street, and a December 13th robbery and burglary that occurred on Charleston Street.

Javier Dixon has been arrested and charged with Murder, four counts of Robbery First Degree, two counts of Burglary First Degree, and Assault Second Degree.
