Mobile Police Arrest a Homicide Suspect

On November 10, 2013, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Mobile Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Brazier Drive West for the report of shots fired and possibly one shot. On arrival, officers found 21 year-old Bill Lamond Hopkins had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Hopkins was pronounced dead on the scene. Detectives were also notified of two more victims with non life threatening gunshot wounds from the same incident.
Through the investigation, detectives were able to determine that 34 year old Carlen Miller was responsible for shooting the victims. He has been arrested and charged with Murder, and two counts of Assault First Degree.
