Mobile Police Arrest a Robbery Suspect

On March 2, 2012 at 11:02 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in progress at the Winn Dixie located at 1550 Government Street. An off duty officer on the scene, after entering the building, was shot and additional responding officers returned fire striking one subject. A second subject was taken into custody on the scene.

18 year old Jackieth Harrison has been arrested and charged with five counts of Attempt Murder, and Robbery First Degree. The injured suspect was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center and will be charged upon his release from the hospital.

The injured officer has been identified as Officer Chad Wynn. He was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he is listed in critical Condition.
