Mobile Police Arrest a Robbery Suspect

On October 8, 2012, 11:05 p.m. at the Circle K located 501 South Broad Street three male subjects entered the store armed with guns and demanded money. After taking the money, the men were leaving the store and robbery suspect identified as Quincy Jones fired a shot and struck a male customer causing non life-threatening injuries. Jones and the other suspects then left the store.

On October 9, 2012 just after midnight, at a Texaco located 3365 Moffett Road, three male suspects entered the store armed with guns and demanded money. The store employee was behind bulletproof glass when one of the suspects fired a shotgun at the glass. The glass deflected one of the bullets and it struck robbery suspect Quincy Jones in his left eye. The suspects left the store without taking any money, and Jones traveled to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he was taken into custody.

Detectives have also determined that Quincy Jones is responsible for a robbery to an individual that occurred on October 7, 2012 on Victory Drive. Jones, while armed with a gun, demanded money from the victim and after taking the money, shot the victim causing minor injuries.

Quincy Jones has been arrested and charged with three counts of Robbery First Degree, Assault First Degree and Assault Second Degree.

Mobile Police detectives are continuing the investigation and are looking for additional suspects in these robberies.
