Mobile Police Arrest an Assault Suspect

On January 1, 2013 Mobile Police began an investigation into an assault that occurred in the area of Bienville Square during the New Years Eve Celebration. Mobile Police responded after observing several disorderly subjects running and heard gunshots. Officers began clearing the area and located a 17 year old male with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

Through the investigation, detectives have identified 17 year old Demarcus Johnson as the shooter. Johnson has been arrested and charged with Assault First Degree.
