Mobile Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect

On September 8, 2010 at approximately 10:45 a.m. the Mobile Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at the RBC Bank located 7800 Moffett Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered a white male had approached a teller and handed her a note indicating he was armed with a gun and demanded money. The man was able to receive an undisclosed amount of money and leave the bank on foot.

Shortly after the robbery, the officers were able to locate the suspect identified as 32 year old Michael Shaughnessy at 3700 Schillinger Road. Shaughnessy was taken into custody without incident and arrested for Robbery First Degree.
