Mobile Police Arrest Dollar General Robbery Suspect

On December 14, 2012, at 8:10 a.m., a 15 year-old male entered the Dollar General at 3226 Dauphin Street, displayed a gun and demanded the clerk open the safe. When the clerk stated he could not open the safe, the suspect stuck the victim in the rear of the head with the gun. When the suspect struck the victim, a round discharged from the firearm into the wall of the business. The suspect then fled from the scene on foot.
An area canvass was performed by investigators and the suspect was apprehended.
The juvenile subject was arrested for Robbery First Degree and transported to the Mobile County Youth Center.
