Mobile Police Arrest Kidnapping, Robbery Suspect

On July 7, 2011, Mobile Police arrested Johnathan O'Neal Thomas for Robbery First Degree and Kidnapping First Degree in regards to an incident involving one victim and three suspects.

On Thursday, June 30, 2011, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Mobile Police responded to the 2400 block of Sayner Avenue for a report of a robbery and kidnapping of an individual based on information given by acquaintances of the kidnapped person. At approximately 7:15 a.m. the following morning, police responded to the 600 block of Whitney Street, where the kidnapped individual was found.

Police determined that during a narcotics related event, the victim was kidnapped by three suspects and also robbed of money. The victim was held by the suspects, who demanded ransom from the victim's acquaintances. The victim was able to get away from the suspects and notified police.
