Mobile Police Arrest Two Robbery Suspects

On October 23, 2012 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Mobile Police Robbery Detectives located a vehicle that had been used in multiple robberies. Through further investigation, the detectives were able to apprehend 16 year old Amanda Bailey, and 17 year old Austin Yates.

Investigators were able to determine that these suspects were responsible for robberies to individuals at Farnell Lane at Louise Drive, Midtown Park, Brawood Drive and Airport Boulevard at Old Government. In all of these robberies one of the suspects would approach the victims, while armed with a gun, and demand the victim's property.

Amanda Bailey and Austin Yates have charged with four counts of Robbery First Degree, and Yates was found in possession of stolen handgun and has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property Second Degree.
