Mobile Police Conduct Four-Phase Drug Operation

Phase One:
On Thursday, June 5, 2014 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Mobile Police Narcotics Investigators and Community Services personnel executed a search warrant at a drug nuisance residence located at 1303 Juniper Street. The property was occupied by 24 individuals who were all arrested for various illegal activities.

During the search warrant, 67 bottles of liquor were confiscated along with various types of drug paraphernalia and gambling equipment including syringes, a crack pipe, decks of playing cards, a digital scale and a multitude of cellophane bags used to package narcotics.

In addition to those items, officers also confiscated approximately eight different types of prescription medications. Some of the medications confiscated are the same as the narcotics sold during undercover operations at that location. Officers also seized $717 in U. S. Currency and two vehicles with an estimated value of $10,000.

Phases Two though Four:
On Friday, June 6, 2014, the Narcotics/Vice Unit along with SWAT, MCSENT, Rangers, Tactical Intelligence, Third Precinct Crime Detail, CoBRA Detail and Crime Prevention executed a narcotics/street enforcement operation in the area of Martin Luther Kind Avenue. During the course of the operation, units executed 10 search warrants and arrested a total of 41 individuals. Various drugs, weapons and U. S. Currency were seized during the execution of the warrants.
