Mobile Police Conduct Narcotics Operation

On October 2, 2014, the Mobile Police Department Narcotics and Vice Unit along with the Mobile County Street Enforcement Narcotics Team (MCSENT) conducted an extensive narcotics operation after receiving numerous complaints of drug activity in the Oaklawn Housing Project at 1010 Baltimore Street. This operation aimed at combating these complaints with controlled narcotics purchasing at target residences.

The mission of this operation was to eliminate the open-air drug trade in the Oaklawn community by arresting those individuals who are facilitating drugs sales and to reduce the violence associated with the illegal drug trade.

A total of 13 subjects were arrested for 21 felonies and three misdemeanors during the operation, which included eight individuals targeted for distribution warrants obtained during the operation. The following are the results and contraband seized during Operation We-Haul:

Target: Terrance Pettaway - Unlawful Distribution of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana Analog)

Target: Warren Lebeaux - Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana Analog)

Jeffrey Nored — Two Probation Revocation warrants (Original charge- No Pistol Permit, Receiving Stolen Property Third Degree)

The following subjects were arrested on unrelated charges prior to the operation but had active warrants as a part of Operation We-Haul. The following subjects have been served warrants:

Target: Victor Lebeaux - Unlawful Distribution of Marijuana

Target: Harold Malone — Two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana Analog)
