Mobile Police Department Arrest Fugitive From Justice Out of Texas

Members of the Mobile Police Department Tactical Intelligence Unit received information of a Fugitive from Justice Out of Taxes in our area. After conducting surveillance on the residence officers discovered two stolen vehicles from Taxes at the residence.

On Thursday, July 02, 2014, the Financial Crimes Detail with assistance from the Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Dunn Ave. The search resulted in the discovery of several counterfeit checks, check stock along with the Check Soft Programs and all the necessary components to counterfeit checks, as well as various identifying documents and debit cards belonging to several other people.

The arrested subject, 53 year old, Morris Mosley, was interviewed and arrested based on evidence obtained throughout the investigation. Mosley was charged with two counts of Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree, two counts of Identity Theft, and twenty five counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. Mosley was also wanted on the following felony charges out of the state of Texas: Burglary, Forgery of Financial Instruments x2, Forgery, Parole Violation and Theft.
