Mobile Police Department Investigate Burglary, Murder and Attempt Murder at Rondo Apartments

On Sunday, July 27, 2014, at approximately 2:26 a.m. officers responded to Rondo Apartments 3993 Cottage Hill Road for a report of one shot. Victim one, a 27 year old female stated the suspect, her estranged husband, 33 year old Alvin Tillman, broke into her apartment, shot her and shot victim two, 44 Ronnie Minefield. Mobile Fire / Rescue Department responded to the scene, transported the female to a local hospital, and pronounced Minefield deceased.

At approximately 5:15 a.m. Tillman was taken into custody by police in the area of Sage Avenue and Airport Blvd. Tillman was interviewed, arrested, and charged with Burglary First Degree, Murder, and Attempted Murder. Following the interview Tillman was transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.
