Mobile Police Department Investigation Double Traffic Fatality

On November 10, 2014, at approximately 9:02 p.m. officers responded to a single vehicle collision with injuries on Halls Mill Road at Darwood Dr. It was determined that a silver 1999 Honda CR-V was being driven by a 35 year old male at a high rate of speed eastbound on Halls Mill Road. The driver is believed to have over corrected the vehicle, left the roadway and struck a large oak tree. The driver and his 34 year old female passenger were pronounced deceased on the scene.

It is believed speed is the prime contributing factor in this collision. Alcohol may also be a factor in this collision. Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing their seatbelt at the time of this collision.
