Mobile Police Department Join in Tornado Relief Fundraiser

The Mobile Police Department is joining with Bojangles as well as The Persuaders band to sponsor a fundraiser and household item drive benefitting the tornado victims in North Alabama. The event will take place Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 5:00 — 10:00 p.m. at Bojangles on Azalea Road and Airport Boulevard.

A $10 donation will include a buffet with crawfish, brisket and more as well as music by The Persuaders. Those who bring donations for the household item drive can pay a reduced $5 donation. Those who go above and beyond with household donations may negotiate their donation amount, depending on the items donated. Household donations can include cleaning items, diapers and baby wipes, household and kitchen items and toys, for example.

Food will be served beginning at 5:00 p.m., music and raffles for door prizes will begin at 6:00 p.m.
